Sadly, it appears that you&#039;ve used one of the more contemporary versions (King James, perhaps?) and suffered an incomplete / not exactly correct tranlation error. (Not your fault, of course.) The actual, original Sanskrit that was chiseled into a stone tablet with toothpicks (an example of which I happen to have right here at the dining room table) reads as follows:

No, wait-- that&#039;s from Will Ferguson&#039;s &quot;Hokkaido Highway Blues&quot; (page 297). I highly recommend it.
