Does “I built this bed” mean, “I purchased this in a box and followed the directions by screwing in the little screws and putting all the pieces where they were supposed to go”,
OR
does it mean, “I dreamed up this bed in my head one morning while shaving, went out and got the wood, the screws and all the little parts, cut them all to the right size and made them go together and I even cut out the tiny little danger bed star in the headboard and even thought of the little curvey hang-ey things that are sticking out the sides like rhinoceros horns to hang stuff on” ???
Once again, your ever-curious public wants to know.

it’s the second one- except I always shave at night for some reason.
I bought a bunch of wood (a lot of it on clearance I’m proud to say).
Blaze’s mother told me what she wanted and showed me pictures of ones in furniture magazines and I made it. I warned her it was too tall for an innocent little child and that if we didn’t make a traditional ladder it would be hard for the boy. But she insisted on doing it anyway.
Afterwards she called and said it was great- except too high and the boy is scared to climb up.
She wanted a star, I made a star.
Rhino things? Curtain rod goes there so there will be a curtain and little play area.
So I attached the whole bed to the wall so it feels sturdy and now I’ll make a regular ladder and see if he can climb up that.
Okay, a question here…
